WLA Executive Committee Issues Anti-Racism Statement

The Executive Committee of the Windsor Library Association condemns historic and ongoing systemic racism in every form that pervades our society. We stand with those who are peacefully working toward a just, compassionate and equitable world. We support the statements issued by the Connecticut Library Association and the Black Caucus of the American Library Association.  Our mission is to enhance the library as an educational and cultural resource. We will continue to help fund staff-recommended books and programs that support equity and justice.  We are committed to examining our own implicit biases as individuals and as a community organization, and will keep actively listening and learning.
